Running a business online can feel like a constant balancing act – between ideas and execution, passion and profit, creativity and consistency.
One of the challenges so many businesswomen talk about is figuring out what to offer. Beyond the daily social posts and the occasional sale, what actually drives sustainable growth? What kinds of products or services make sense for your time, skills and audience?
That’s where taking a step back can really help.
Instead of getting stuck in the scroll of what everyone else seems to be doing, sometimes the best thing is to look at a simple list of possibilities. Not a formula or a blueprint, but an honest look at the kinds of offers that are actually working for real women building businesses on their own terms.
Recently, we’ve been having more conversations about diversifying income. Not necessarily in a big, dramatic way, but in a “what else could I add that makes sense for me right now?” kind of way. For some, that’s packaging up expertise into a short PDF guide. For others, it’s testing a low-cost workshop or turning their existing advice into a digital download.
These kinds of ideas can often feel out of reach if you don’t have tech skills or a big audience. The reality is, you need all these things to effectively impact your audience. What matters most is understanding how to solve a specific problem your audience has, and presenting it in a format that suits both you and them.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people thrive with group coaching. Others prefer to stay behind the scenes, creating resources people can use in their own time. The beauty of online business is that there’s room for both.
And if you’re in that stage of wondering what else could I offer?, we’ve got a handy resource to spark some ideas.
Over in our members area we have a guide 40 Ways to Build and Grow Your Online Business packed with a range of different types of digital products, services and tools you can create – many of which are quick to test and don’t require a huge setup. It’s not about doing everything. It’s about picking the one or two things that align with your strengths and seeing what works.
For anyone feeling stuck, in-between, or ready to try something new, it’s a great place to start.
