Ciara Barry is an artist based in Belfast whose work is rooted in deep compassion and lived experience. After graduating from art college, Ciara then followed a career in Paediatric Nursing. It was during those times, working with children with complex health needs, that she came to understand the quiet power of creativity in helping families connect, communicate and find moments of peace. Now returning to her artistic roots, her paintings reflect a sense of home, often inspired by family trips and the beauty found in everyday life, using creativity as a form of reflection, communication and connection.

My nursing career adds another layer to my career experience and informs my creative expression. I enjoy bringing a sense of warmth and comfort through my art, allowing it to resonate with people in some way and add it to their own personal space, creating something with meaning that they can enjoy.
