Member About

Hi, I’m Kirsty Corvan, a psychotherapist based in Armagh, mum of one, adrenaline junkie, and unashamed Taylor Swift fan!

I’ve known since I was in school that I wanted to be a therapist, and after nearly 20 years of working toward that dream (with life throwing plenty of curveballs), I finally made it happen. When I’m not supporting clients with chronic illness, you’ll find me watching TV or with my head in a book, trying new foods, or spending time with my family.

Living with chronic pain has shaped my perspective on life and deepened my empathy for others navigating similar challenges.

I’m passionate about breaking mental health stigmas and firmly believe everyone deserves to be unapologetically themselves. I value honesty, humanity, and a good laugh.

Kirsty Corvan - The Chronic Illness Therapist

My business is an online therapy business which specialises in supporting people living with chronic illness or disability rebuild their relationship with themselves and quiet the inner critic that says they’re lazy, lying, or not enough.

My practice offers down-to-earth, relational integrative therapy in a space where clients don’t need to mask pain, be martyrs, or explain their symptoms, they can simply be heard, believed, and respected.

Using my lived experience of chronic pain, the practice brings a deepened understanding of the emotional weight of medical gaslighting, the grief of changed life plans, and the challenge of setting boundaries. Services combine compassion-focused techniques, mindfulness, and relational therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Based in Armagh, the practice operates primarily online, serving clients across the UK & Ireland and making therapy accessible regardless of energy levels or mobility challenges.

What makes me stand out?

My lived experience, down to earth approach, specialised expertise in the area, and a good dose of humanity and humour to try and make therapy as accessible and welcoming as possible.
