Mums At Work CIC are set to bring their inspirational networking event to Belfast for the year’s second Elevate Your Business showcase.
Following the success of the March instalment, the business woman-centred event will take place at Belfast’s The Merchant Hotel later this year.
Running from 7pm-10.30pm on Wednesday 20 November, the evening will host a range of thought-provoking speakers from across Northern Ireland who will provide an insight on their experiences and beneficial tips to attendees hoping to scale their businesses.
The event has been created specifically to enable working women to make valuable connections in the local community whilst also receiving referrals and increasing their brand visibility across various industries.
Mums At Work was created by Sinead Norton, a mum of seven who boasted incredible passion in her work, in an attempt to create a supportive community for working women in a plethora of roles, industries and businesses nationwide.
Despite tragically losing her battle with pancreatic cancer last November, Sinead’s legacy has lived on and has since emphasised the need for more nurturing events in the social calendar.
Speaking previously on why she started the Community Interest Company, Sinead said: “I’m a mum of seven and when I owned a large thriving and multi award winning wedding business, I quickly realised that survival is dependent on past brides and other suppliers referring you.
“I wanted to create a space where businesswomen working on their own could come together to stay motivated and work towards their dreams as I know how lonely it is when you start out and how hard it can be to achieve a good work-life balance.”
Continuing her impeccable work, Director, and Sinead’s daughter, Danielle Norton has taken over the reigns to provide businesswomen with more opportunities to connect, including transforming the annual Elevate Your Business event into a now-biannual feat.
Danielle highlighted the significance of Mums At Work and its respective gatherings through what the women in attendance can gain, both during the events themselves and throughout their careers afterwards.
She said: “The purpose of the Elevate Your Business events is for women to have a chance to meet other women who are looking to grow their businesses.
“It is a welcoming and supportive environment for women to feel comfortable and gain confidence. We hope the attendees will make new connections, receive referrals and increase their brand visibility.
“We also hope they leave feeling inspired and motivated by our speakers who will give valuable insight and tips on how to take your business to the next level.”
The Wednesday 20 November event will see several inspirational speakers take to The Merchant Hotel stage, with full information on a completed line-up to be announced.
